Are you exhausted at the end of the day?
Do you find it hard to mentally separate yourself from work when you’re at home?
If so, it’s time to start a daily routine to retrain your brain.
I used to find that I would get home and dive into my duties while still thinking about what happened at work. Sometimes I’d complain about this or that to my husband, and I’d spend mental energy that could’ve been better spent on my family.
The spinning in my head would continue without me even realizing it. My brain was super efficient at thinking about what was wrong at work…during the drive home, while making dinner, playing with my kids, and getting ready for bed.
I found that my exhaustion at the end of the day was from all of the additional energy I was spending in such a negative space.
You may not realize it, but once your brain becomes efficient at thinking certain thoughts, it takes work to change your way of thinking. It’s like starting a new workout regimen. At first, your muscles are sore, but the more you exercise, the easier it is. The same is true with your brain.
If you’re ready to break the cycle, commit to it today and get to work on your brain. You’ve got this!
